The function of the Resource Centre is to supplement and enrich the curriculum for all students and to encourage literacy in its many forms!  We promote reading for enjoyment by providing a wide range of reading material to suit the interests and reading levels of our student population.  We help students develop information literacy skills so they are effective and ethical users of information, both digital and print. 

 

Students are asked to sign out all materials and return books promptly, so they may be enjoyed by everyone.  Reference materials may be used in the Resource Centre only and are not available for loan.  To encourage students to return their books and develop within them a sense of responsibility for the materials they borrow, we will assess fines, as set out by Prairie Valley School Division policy, for books which are lost or not returned.  Further to this, students who have a large number of overdue books or those who have not paid may have their borrowing privileges suspended.
