Leadership

Students in Grades 5-8 are welcome to help out in the canteen and with delivery of Hot Lunch to younger grades, on the discretion and as needed by Mrs. Buck our nutrition coordinator.    Information about signing up as volunteers will be announced.            

 

The recess Buddy Club is for Students in Grades 4 and 5.  These Students are assigned to a 'little buddy' for the morning, lunch and afternoon recess for about a day a week.  Monthly meetings take place to discuss both positive and negative interactions between the buddies with the intention to talk about problem solving strategies and skills that can be used out on the playground.  The "little buddies" are students in Kindergarten to Grade 2 who may need some extra support on the playground with problem solving, friendship and social skills.  These recess buddies play a very important part in their "little buddies" day and we appreciate their dedication to the club.  

       

The SLC is open to students in grades 6-8.  Club members plan fun spirit and leadership activities throughout the year.   Club members meet at least once per week depending on what needs to get done!
